Para La Tierra 2007

A Weekend of Educational and Fundraising Events

On behalf of the Three-Wattled Bellbird and the other Creatures of the RainForest
Friday, September 14 – Sunday, September 16, 2007

The Bellbird Project
Five years ago with Costa Rican biologists and conservationists, we established “Bosque para Siempre,” the Forever Forest, a migratory corridor critical to the survival of indigenous birds and neo-tropical migrants from Vermont. The endangered three-wattled bellbird represents the unique nature of this biologically diverse habitat, where without immediate preservation efforts many bird and animal species, including songbirds from Vermont, are threatened with extinction. We are working to preserve this refuge for migrating and resident species in perpetuity and reforest the destroyed acres. To date, we have purchased 50.2 acres of land and planted over 3,000 trees from our nursery.
